The accused of Amrit Pal kidnapping case, Vijay Jatav alias Vicky Bansal admitted during interrogation that the crime was committed to ensure a luxurious life and give costly gifts to his girlfriend Pooja Makhija.
Apparently he bore the expenses of his entire family, paid for the studies of his younger brother Tarun, and opened a cyber cafe for his brother Shailendra.
Another reason why his family never objected to the ways he brought money to the house like kidnapping of a child, Amrit Pal Singh. The police claimed Vijay Jatav alias Vicky Bansal, Pooja Makhija, his father Chhiddi lal Jatav, mother Savatri, brothers Shailendra and Tarun as accused in this case.
Vijay Jatav demanded Rs5 lakh as ransom and called Harish Sharma, resident in Raghavpuram CP Colony using the same mobile number. When the police reached the house of Harish Sharma, he told Vijay that police are interrogating him; this alerted the accused and his brother Tarun, who left Amrit Pal Singh the next morning near MPCT College.
During the interrogation of Pooja Makhija, the police came to know that she was employed at two places and had three mobile phones along with photos of 10 to 12 persons; police are trying to know the details of those photos.
Gwalior Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar Singh said that the character of Vicky and Pooja Makhija appeared to be rather suspicious. It seems that a lot is yet to be unraveled which will be taken care of after the discharge of Vicky from hospital, he added.
