Maharshi Vidya Mandir school teacher who has leveled allegations of sexual harassment and blackmailing against the Secretary of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Educational Institute Girsih Verma, on Monday threatened self immolation if the police fail to take action against Verma in next seven days.
In an interaction with the media persons, the schoolteacher and her husband narrated the difficulties that they have been facing due to reluctant attitude of the State Women’s Commission and the police in the matter.
The enraged schoolteacher also shared the affidavit she had submitted at the Mahila police station on Sunday. In the affidavit, she has stated that Verma misused his official position and influence to sexually harass her.
She has alleged that he had forced her and her husband to sign several blank papers. later, she was threatened against those blank papers and sexually assaulted. She also alleged that Verma used to intimidate her saying that he would get her husband killed if she speaks out anything.The teacher lamented that the State Woman Commission has been showing lackadaisical attitude in the matter.
Notably, investigation in the incident is on both by State Woman Commission and the police.
