Miscreants targeted a house at Haripur Colony and escaped with valuables worth lakhs of rupees on Sunday; Misrod police have started investigation.
Police said that the victim Ashok Saraswat along with his family left Bhopal on January 9 to attend an event and when he returned valuables were found missing and a complaint was lodged by the victim with the Misrod police.
In the complaint victim stated that he along wioth his family had left house to attend an event and when returned on Sunday valuables were found burgled.
The victim claimed that gold and silver jewelry and Rs 20000 cash were burgled. The victim has claimed that the total loss could not be ascertained as other family members are yet to return and on their return correct value of burgled goods would be provided.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case of burglary against unidentified miscreants and have started further investigation.
In the burglary the almirah which was having the valuables was targeted and the other valuables were not disturbed. The lock of the almirah was found broken and the cash and gold jewelry were found burgled.
Police suspects that miscreants were aware regarding whereabouts of the family. The CCTV cameras of the area and nearby cameras would be checked and to establish the identity of the miscreants has been started as investigation is on.
