The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) will organise ‘Virat Hindu Sammelan’ here on December 21 to mark the golden jubilee celebration of the organisation.

Informing this to media here on Thursday, VHP regional secretary Rajesh Tiwari said, “Aiming to create awareness and activeness among the Hindu community, the VHP is oranising such conventions in five major cities in the country. In Bhopal about one lakh activists, including women and saints, from all over the country would take part.”

Tiwari said VHP’s International working president Praveen Togadia among others would take part in the convention.

Talking about the VHP, Tiwari said, “The objective of the VHP is to organise and consolidate the Hindu society and to serve and protect the Hindu dharma. A strong, effective, enduring and an ever increasing presence of VHP is seen in lakhs of villages and towns in India.”

Through the consistent efforts at eradication of social evils like untouchability, VHP is absolving the Hindu society and rejuvenating it to express its inherent Hindu Unity.

About the organisation’s activity, he mentioned about taking up of issues like Ramjanmabhoomi, Amarnath yatra, Ramsetu, Ganga Raksha, Gau Raksha, the Hindu Mutt-mandir issue, the religious conversions of Hindus by Christian Church, Islamic terrorism, Bangladeshi Muslim infiltration.

To a query, Tiwari said the VHP’s ‘Ghar Waspsi’ (Return of other community’s people to Hindu fold) programme would not be taken up during the convention separately but it is an ongoing programme and part of the VHP’s ‘Dharam.
