A solo exhibition of paintings is being put up here on Friday by a renowned artist Meera Gupta at Rangdarshini Gallery, Bharat Bhavan. Notably, Meera Gupta is a veteran artist whose work thrives exclusively on Indian mythological subjects. She brings out the beauty of Indian culture in every piece of her work through transparent water colors, oil colors and acrylic color on paper and canvas.
Indian poetry, mythology, puranas, literature and ordinary life experiences of common man all spring to life in her paintings. Her uniqueness lies in the way she uses nature specially fauna for her expression in the lines she draws and the shades of colors she uses. Everything blends nicely to give shape to her thought and subjects. Her brush simply follows her feelings in the most natural way like a graceful flow of sacred river.
