The Indore Khandwa road which is a single lane narrow road which mostly run throughout the mountains and a very difficult drive for the thousands of four wheelers drivers daily as there are several black spots at the curve and slopes in the mountains which results in frequent traffic jams and accidents.
The most miserable part is the single lane is broadened at the blind turns in two lanes and which again turns into a single lane after 100 meters. Due to the absence of the indicators, radium traffic signals and traffic volunteers at the blind spot curves the drivers gets confused on these two lanes and hence the traffic from up and down the hills get jams on this 100 meters two lanes at the curves.
The director of NHAI Madhya Pradesh told The Pioneer that a proposal for converting the single lane in four lane is ready and we cannot start the construction work as the district administration of Khargone and Badwaha are not handing over the land to us so we can start the construction of four lane road. Collector Khargone Anugarha P told The Pioneer that there is no issue of land and all the land is handed over to NHAI. SDM Badwaha Anukul Jain told The Pioneer that the NHAI should put the indicators and safety measures at the blind turns and I will my self get the blind turns checked and what safety measures NHAI is taking at blind turns. To my knowledge the four lane from Indore to Khandwa is going from different route and there is no chance that it will overlap the present single lane road hence the NHAI should erect safety measures and radium lights at the blind turns of the present single lane road.
