The Muslim institutions of the State, including Madhya Pradesh Minority Commission, MP Minority Financial Development Commission, MP Madarsa Board and MP Urdu Academy are headless since long causing halt in the way of not only day to day working but also development and other problems solutions.

The reasons attributed for the delay in appointment in thee important institutions of minorities are sometimes elections of assembly, parliament or local bodies.

The appointments for the top job of these institutions are made by the ruling party. Sources in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) informed one of the reasons for delay in appointments in these institutions is lack of better party workers from the community.

The BJP is on the lookout for clean and undisputed faces of the community for appointment in the minority institutions. Discussions and brainstorming is going on in this regard among the top brass of the State and a list at primary level has been made. This initial list is said to have with the BJP State organizational general secretary Arvind Menon and the final call would be taken by chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

The party sources on condition of anonymity informed that about a dozen names figure in the initial list that would be shortlisted to half a dozen before being forwarded to the chief minister for final call.

A senior Muslim leader of the BJP said that there is also a proposal for reconstitution of the Masajid Committee of Bhopal because the presence of political office bearers as per the present set up often causes inconvenience to the Qazi, Mufti, Imam and Muezzins.  Demand is doing rounds that this institution should be brought under purview of Shahar Qazi and the administrative set up of this institution should be handed over to some Government official.
