'Unveil larger conspiracy behind VYAPAM scam'

Published on:

All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary and MP Digvijay Singh on Saturday wrote a letter to chairperson of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) Justice Chandresh Bhushan, constituted to probe  the VYAPAM scam, urging him to unveil the larger conspiracy behind the scam that has darkened the future of thousands of youth of the State. A copy of letter has also been given to two other members of SIT and STF SK Sahi.

Singh, a former Chief Minister of the State, in his letter to Justice Bhushan, said, “The Special Task Force has failed to look into the aspect of larger conspiracy as to the policy decision taken at the highest level to transfer recruitment or appointment of Government services to VYAPAM in 2007, and thereafter is a part of game plan to create a mechanism to induct favoured undeserving candidates at the recommendation of high profile persons.”

Singh further said, “It is to be pointed out that the high profile persons names find mention in the excel sheet retrieved from deleted data of one of the prime accused Nitin Mohindra, which

are related to recruitment/appointment in Government services examination. The SIT should direct STF to produce the full and complete excel sheet and not in parts.”

He said there are serious allegations regarding involvement of office of the Chief Minister, Office of Governor, Minister of State Government,   Union Minister Uma Bharti,   senior RSS 'functionaries including Suresh Soni, senior bureaucrats, police officers and relatives of the Chief Minister. The STF has conveniently found scapegoats and drawn inference that "Chief Minister's Office" means Prem Chand, PA to CM. "Rajbhawan" means Dhanraj Yadav, OSD to Governor, 'Minister' means laxmikant Sharma. The excel sheet also mentions "M/s" no effort till date has been taken by STF to reveal who this M/s is, he added. He said till now STF seems acting selectively and has not darted to touch the big fishes that are the actual accused in the scam, hence, the STF be instructed to act against all the persons whose names figure in the scam and unravel the mystery of the biggest educational and recruitment scam of the country.
