Taking a pot shot at those who are diverting country’s attention from pressing issues like farmers’ suicide, drought, inflation, the spiritual leader Bhaiyyuji Maharaj said the issues of intolerance, patriotism, treason are hogging the limelight which is quite unfortunate. Such issues are being raised only to attract media attention on issue-based politics and gain individual fame, he was addressing fourth convocation ceremony of DY Patil University at Kolhapur.
Earlier Maharaj was conferred upon with honorary Dlitt degree by DY Patil University in the presence of galaxy of dignitaries and students. The Degree has been conferred upon him for his exceptional services that he has been carrying for the socio-economic uplift of the poor, downtrodden, underprivileged sections of society in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and other parts of the country.
Maharaj has his disciples across the country, cutting across party lines, through his Shree Sadguru Datta Dharmik Evam Parmarthik Trust has alleviated socio-economic condition of the poor sections of the society through various projects that he has been carrying in the fields of education, agriculture, health, water conservation, environment, community development, etc.
Denying that there is any kind of intolerance in the country, the spiritual leader said that tolerance will continue as long as spiritualism in India exists and people cooperate with each other.
