The Congress party unfazed with the Madhya Pradesh High Court observation over the infamous MP Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) scam or VYAPAM mega scam has repeated its demand for Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe of the scam. Besides this, the Congress party would send contempt notices to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, MP Bharatiya Janata Party president and MP Nandkumar Singh Chouhan, State Government spokesperson and senior minister of State cabinet Narottam Mishra and transport minister Bhupendra Singh.
Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee chief spokesman KK Mishra in a statement on Tuesday, said, “The BJP and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan are publicising the Madhya Pradesh High Court’s first sight observation of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) report as Court order and are doing its misinterpretation as a clean chit to the Chief Minister and his family, which is totally wrong. We request the Chief Minister that if he and his Government has been cleared of all charges in the biggest educational and recruitment scam of the country then why not he announces CBI probe of it. So that all doubts over his family’s involvement in the multi crore scam could get clear.”
Mishra further said that the Congress party would send contempt notices to Chief Minister Chouhan, BJP State president Nandkumar Singh and two ministers of the State cabinet Narottam Mishra and Bhupendra Singh through party counsel and would ask that why they misinterpretated court order and used it for their personal benefit through media. If they failed to provide satisfactory reply then the party would move to court against them, he added.
He said that the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan should also clarify that how his Government allowed to lodge FIR against the Governor of the State, who is first citizen of the State holding constitutional office.
