The students of Anand Vihar College for women went gaga over the colourful and splendid performances held at college premises. On Friday, the grand annual function ‘Ujaas 2018’ began at the college premises. The first day of the event was all about the scintillating performances by the winners of Ujaas 2018.
Various events were a part of the grand start of Ujaas. Observing the mega event, the students enthusiastically participated in all the competitions that were held on Friday. It is to be noted that each day different contests are being held under Ujaas 2018 to enhance the co-curricular activities of the students.
There were the sparkling performances of solo singing, solo dance, group singing and group dance. This was not all for the day. But competitions like fireless cooking and best out of waste were also the part of the event.
Various participants served delicious eatables to enhance the taste buds of the students under the competition of Fireless Cooking. Here the participant had to prepare an eatable without using the fire. So the participants served plates of Bhel puri, chaat, sandwiches and keeping in mind the hot summers many participants served ice-tea as well. Poonam Vishwakarma won the first prize, Richa Verma was on second position and Shivangi Mithelia won the third prize.
Under best out of waste, the students prepared innovative models. The first prize was won by Sonu Kushwaha, second prize was won by Aishwarya Shukla and Bhavna won the third prize.
This was not all, but the audiences were delighted with the group dance and solo dance performances. As many as 40 students participated in dance performances. The Bhangra by the Punjabi folk dance group made the audience tap their feet along.
This was not all, but the participants gave outstanding performances on the Bollywood tracks. There were dance forms like hip-hop, western style and even contemporary.
