The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has claimed that the constitution of the Bharatiya Udyamita Vikas Cadre would prove to be a milestone in spreading the network of small and cottage industries in the villages, cities and semi-urban colonies in connection with Make in India through Start Up and Stand Up programmes.
BJP Madhya Pradesh president and MP Nandkumar Singh Chouhan in a statement here on Thursday claimed that the constitution of Bharatiya Udyamita Vikas Cadre would prove to be a milestone in spreading network of small and cottage industries in villages, cities and semi urban colonies in connection with Make Up India through Start Up and Stand Up.
Chouhan said, “Efforts were made in this direction during the decade of fifties and sixties but the results on ground could not be attained due to lack of devoted cadre. Formal work was done as there was no unit to work with a target for intensive industrialization. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken serious initiative in this direction and by deciding to constitute Industrial Development Service fulfilled a big requirement.”
Chouhan further said that to form this cadre eleven type of industries would be integrated to form these cadres. In that 617 officials would be included of them six would be of joint secretary level. Under them would be a minimum of 72 regional offices, he added.
He said that today new entrepreneurs are getting attracted towards Start Up and Stand UP Missions but due to lack of creative direction the intended results expected could not be met. With the creation of new cadre competition would increase and officers interest would also increase for achieving the set targets, he added. The BJP state president said that the new cadres would have a target and commitment to make succeed the responsibility shouldered to union minister by the central government.
