Crime branch police have nabbed a gang involved in blackmailing using indecent photographs of victims; matter surfaced after a 69-year-old man became victim and later lodged complaint with the crime branch. A man and two women have been nabbed in the investigation while one of the gang members is still absconding.
On receipt of information regarding whereabouts of the accused a police team reached RTO office area and nabbed the accused.
The accused was trying to escape but was nabbed and was identified as Bhupesh Rana(44) of Arera Colony and when he was quizzed he revealed the details of the other gang members. Based on the information two women were nabbed from Bhoipura area.
Victim in his complaint stated that few days ago he received a call from a woman who obtained all information and after couple of day called me to visit DB Mall and later she asked to visit a house in Bhoipura where another woman and a man were present and after entering the house they forcefully put off clothes and took pictures with the women and a men in police uniform entered and told that case would be registered against him and demanded Rs 5 lakh and took Rs 6000 which he was carrying.
The victim later lodged complaint with the crime branch and three out of the four were nabbed.
The police registered a case under section 120 B, 327 and 419 of the IPC was registered and search for the fourth accused has been.
