Two tribal youth were beaten and stripped by a group of five persons at Kolar dam in Sehore on Sunday. The police have registered a case under section 323, 342, 294 and 506 of the IPC and section 3 (1) (10) of the SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act. The offenders are still at large.
The victims Amar Singh (25) and his cousin Mahesh Singh (28) along with two friends had gone to Kolar dam for fishing near Fangiya village on Sunday evening. When they were fishing, the contractor’s men spotted them . Ajay and Mahesh were caught, while others managed to escape. later, the miscreants took both the cousins to a room where they were beaten up.
The victims have alleged that they were captivated at the dam for the whole night, beaten brutally, forced to dance naked and were forcibly sodomized. They somehow managed to escape and lodged a complaint in the Bilkishganj police station but after learning all the details of the incident, the police have only lodged a complaint of bullying and assault against the offenders.
The Superintendent of Police of Sehore KB Sharma told that a complaint has been lodged and the investigation has been started. Sharma denied the allegations of sodomy and told that nothing of that sort was confirmed by the doctors. The victims have not sustained any serious injuries and were discharged after getting treatment at the district hospital.
