Two shops and four houses were targeted by miscreants in Kotra Sultanabad locality, under Kamla Nagar police station, during the intervening night of Friday and Saturday. The victims Dr Anil Sharma and grocery shop owner Kamal Singh Chouhan have lodged complaints with the Kamla Nagar police and in the complaint they claimed that when they went to open their shops in the morning on Saturday they found that the doors of their shops were broken and on entering it was found that cash and valuable were found missing.
Dr Sharma, who run a clinic in the market, claimed that cash Rs10,000 and goods were burgled, while Chouhan claimed that thousands of rupees kept in the shop were found missing along with grocery goods. It is not possible to ascertain the loss as the owner of the grocery shop was not aware about the grocery goods and cash kept in the shop.
The miscreants have targeted remote areas which remain deserted and possibilities of the committing burglary by same miscreants could not be ruled out. In the further investigation it would searched that the miscreants targeting shops and houses in different area are the same. It is possible that the owners of the other houses targeted by miscreants have not returned and would lodge complaint after returning. A few houses in Shyam Nagar area were also targeted by the miscreants but no one from the area lodged a complaint with the Kamla Nagar police after the incident.
