Decomposed body of a 42-year-old man was found under suspicious circumstances at Indrapuri under Piplani police station area on Sunday.
According to the police, on Sunday the locals of Indrapuri complained regarding pungent smell coming out of the residence of Chandan Sathe and when the neighbours failed to get any response from Sathe they informed the police.
A police team was rushed to the spot and on entering the house they found a body lying inside the house. The deceased was identified as Chandan Sathe who used to live alone. After preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem.
The police have registered a case under Section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation. locals confirmed that the victim was drug addict and frustrated over his addiction his father started living with his younger son in Pune.
Meanwhile decomposed body of a man was found near Kaliasot Dam under Kamla Nagar police station area on Monday. According to the police at around 7 am Kamla Nagar police were informed regarding a body near Kaliasot Dam. On the receipt of the information a police team was rushed to the spot and after preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem.
In the initial investigation the police were not able to establish the identity of the victim. Police said that no clue was found which could establish the identity of the victim. The victim was wearing undergarments and no injuries marks were visible on the body.
Strong possibility of the victim being killed could be inferred from the circumstantial evidences. The police have registered a case under Section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
