Two persons were attacked with sharp-edged weapons after they tried to stop miscreants from escaping at Chinar Fortune City under Misrod police station area late in the night on Saturday; miscreants were trying to steal motorbike said the police.
According to the police the victims Abhisek Tripathi and Alok Pandey were asleep when the miscreants tried to break the handle lock of their motorbike and where attacked when they nabbed one of the miscreants.
In the attack Alok Pandey was injured in his left shoulder and was rushed to a nearby hospital where his condition is reportedly stable.
The incident took place at around 3 in the night when the two returned home after work and were asleep. After spotting the miscreant the two raised alarm which alerted the neighbours but before the locals could help the two miscreants attacked the victim and escaped the spot.
Police said that the victims have claimed that they spotted three miscreants trying to escape and caught one of them and to rescue their accomplice the other two accomplices The police have registered a case under section 459 and 34 of the IPC against three unidentified miscreants. Abhisek and Alok works with a Hindi daily.
In their complaint lodged with the police Abhisek stated that one of the miscreants were keeping an eye at the spot while the two were busy in breaking the lock of the motorbike and when the one who was at vigil was nabbed by the victims the two miscreants rushed to his rescue and attacked the victim with sharp edged weapon injuring Alok.
