Nishatpura police have been booked two miscreants for duping over a dozen people to the tune of Rs 7.25 lakh in the name of facilitating house developed at Navi bagh by BDA under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana; case was registered on Thursday after victims lodged complaint against the accused.
According to the police, the victims Ravi Soni and other victims lodged a complaint regarding the fraud by Govind Singh Rajput and Bhanu Pratap have duped by assuring that the house which cost Rs 3 lakh would be provided at Rs 1.5 lakh. In his complaint, the victim has alleged that accused lured them and assured that houses would be facilitated at half the price and initially only Rs 60000 has to be deposited.
The victim and around a dozen people were duped and deposited Rs 60000 in the year 2014.
The victims when found that the houses would be provided at Rs 3 lakh and no deal of the accused has been made for facilitating them with houses they demanded refund but the accused refused and later victims lodged a complaint with the police.
