The Morar police arrested two miscreants carrying a reward of 2000 each. They were absconding after the murder of a youth during Mandi election in Ambha two months back. During interrogation, it was known that the accused were preparing to leave for Surat. The Gwalior SP announced reward to the police team. On the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, Gwalior SP Santosh Kumar Singh received a tip-off that the miscreants were taking shelter in Gandhi Nagar.
The information was immediately conveyed to Morar CSP Neeraj Pandey. A team led by Morar TI Ratnesh Tomar nabbed the accused at Huravali Tiraha. The police recovered a 12 bore revolver, a .315 bore revolver and four live cartridgesfrom them.
Police, a 14-year-old girl had gone to fetch water from a hand pump in the village last evening. The miscreants took her to a farm and raped her.
