To solve the problems of common people, every Tuesday the public hearing was organised but now it has turned out a mere formality at the District Collector office.
After the public hearing, the applicants have submitted their applications for ration card, but the officers concerned are not attending the complaints. In new collectorate, where public hearing was conducted, officers who have to deal with the problems of the citizens do not take proper interest.
There are people who have lodged complaints stating that they were not issued BPl cards, but these people failed to get the cards after more than a month. Shafiq Khan and Shamim Khan, who are the residents of Gad Thorat ki Goth, have given applications for more than 12 times but their BPl card is still pending. They have visited several times to the Collectorate but till date their applications were not attended.
