A 40-year-old Train Ticket Examiner (TTE) died after his scooter was hit by a speeding car at Vidisha road under Chhola Mandir police station area late in the night on Sunday.
Police said that an injured TTE was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead. The deceased was identified as Sanjay Mishra of Paras Colony was on his way home after work.
The accident took place at around 11.30 pm. The errant car driver escaped the spot leaving the car. The car is having vehicle registration number of Indore and based on the registration number search has been started.The deceased was posted with central railways as TTE.
The car was moving speedily and due to which the scooter was damaged severely and resulted in death of Sanjay.The body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and started further investigation.
Meanwhile, a 23-year-old youth committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at Ashoka Garden on Sunday.
Adi Chouhan was found hanging at his residence on Sunday and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.Police were informed and after preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem.The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
