A children’s play was brilliantly performed by the little artists on stage. Hindi play Kissa Macchuare aur Sone Ki Macchli Ka was beautifully performed at the State Tribal Museum here on Friday.

The play was performed under the regular series of dramas ‘Abhinayan’ organised by tribal museum every Friday. Directed by a known playwright of the city KG Trivedi, the plays were prepared during the summer camp organised at Jawahar Bal Bhavan. The entire play dealt with the children's story which was wondrously presented.

Kissa Macchuare or Sone ki Macchli ka is all about human desires. It is said that it is not always necessary that what an individual seeks in his life will come his way. This story of over-reaching greed and ambition was splendidly showcased leaving the audience enthralled.

Once upon a time there was a fisherman and his nagging wife. One day the fisherman went for fishing. To his surprise he caught a fish and it was a fish of gold.

The fish asks the fisherman to leave her. The fisherman showed kindness and left her in water. When he returned home, his wife was furious on him. She told her husband to ask the fish anything in return of his favour.

He went to the fish and asked his wish. When he returned he found his wife in a palace wearing expensive clothes. But the ungrateful wife was still not satisfied and told him to ask for more.

His wife gets greedy but what happens next was interesting to watch. But, the destiny had something in store for the couple. Their greed also took all of that they were bestowed with by the magical fish.

The presentation of the play was much appreciated by the audience as they enjoyed every bit of the performance.
