I was inspired by my tradition and nature when I was too young. So, I thought to showcase my love in paintings," said the Gond artist Parvati Parste.

A painting exhibition of tribal artists of the state is organized every month by the Madhya Pradesh Tribal Museum in the 'Likhandra Exhibition Gallery'. In this sequence, an exhibition of paintings by Parvati Parste, a young painter of the Gond community, is being exhibited this month.

This painting exhibition will continue from February 3 to 28, 2022. The displayed paintings will also be available for sale, which can be purchased from the painter.

As many as 27 paintings made by the young painter have been displayed in the exhibition. His paintings include neem trees and birds, neem trees and elephant groups, peepal trees and birds drinking water, gods and goddesses in Madhya, chatak birds in anticipation of rain, trees and birds, trees and birds, bulls resting under trees and many subjects like Ramoli birds, trees, buffaloes and bird joints are seen.

She shared on festivals, when the mother used to flaunt at home by wrapping it. Then Parvati also helped the mother along with the sisters, gradually her interest in painting also started increasing.

The stories heard from mother and elder sisters also started making their place in his mind. When the elder sister made any shape figures on the wall of the house, Parvati would watch them very carefully and try to imbibe their art.

Parvati takes more pleasure in depicting the wildlife world with tribal myths. These paintings of his can be called a contemporary creation of ethnic myths, rituals and traditions, because these paintings are not less than any contemporary paintings, but are an artistic example of tribal consciousness.

Since the year 2012, Parvati Paraste has exhibited her paintings in art galleries of various cities across the country including Bhopal, New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and abroad.
