As a part of the ongoing environment conservation week being held in BHEl, Bhopal to mark the World Environment Day, a massive tree plantation programme was organised on Friday near block-IV inside the factory premises.
On this occasion NP Shukla, President, MP Pollution Control Board; AMV Yugandhar, Executive Director, BHEl, Bhopal; DK Dikshit; TG Chouragade, PK Goyal, all general managers and employees in large number were present.
Shukla congratulating all the employees on the occasion of World Environment Day appreciated the steps taken by BHEl, Bhopal towards environment conservation & safety under the guidance of Yugandhar. He said that we all should actively contribute towards environment conservation. It is our moral responsibility that we pass on a clean, safe and secure environment to the next generation. Shukla further appreciated the greenery evident in the factory premises congratulating the management, employees and unions for their honest endeavor.
Yugandhar in his address said that the management and all the employees are all committed in saving the environment. He said that on one hand whereas plantation and development of lawn increases the flow of oxygen, also providing relief during summers; the quality of the equipment also gets enhanced due to dust free environment.
He further appreciated the initiatives carried out by Environment & Safety Department towards environment conservation.
It is noteworthy to mention that under World Environment Day along with tree plantation, awareness programme on the ill effects of polythene has also being conducted.
