After several complaints of delay in installing high security registration number plates, the Transport department has finally cancelled the contract of link Utsav Pvt ltd company on Tuesday.
The company was not able to work for reducing the pendency and maintained the sluggish pace even after the Gwalior bench of High Court issued orders to work speedily in installation of high security registration number.
Initially from the time the company was awarded with contract of installing high security registration number the consumers were faced with all kinds of problems and at the same time the slow pace of the company in installing the registration number plates augmented the problem further.
The transport department has earlier suspended their services but after the department was not satisfied with the work by the company decision to cancel to contract was issued.
Contract has been cancelled but those consumers who have paid the charges of high security registration number plate would be provided with the registration number plates by the company. Company would also send messages to the consumers whose high security registration number plates have been made and piled up at the company’s office.
Vehicle owners who have deposited around 1500 authority letter through Bhopal Regional Transport Office (RTO) to the company and around 8000 high security registration number plates which have been made earlier would be installed by the company and failing to clear this pendency would result in confiscating of security money by the Transport Department.
Senior Official of Transport department claimed that the reason behind termination of the contract was that the
company was not able to work properly.
