Training module to strengthen Shaurya Dal will get underway from Mandla on June 16. Principal Secretary Women and Child Development JN Kansotiya gave this information while inaugurating a state level workshop on this issue here on Saturday. Officers of Women and Child Development Department participated in the workshop.
Kansotiya said that the biggest challenge before us is to conduct Women and Child Development schemes like campaign. He said that another major challenge is to bring gender ratio at par. He said that social, political and economic disparities in society impede development. Stressing the need to intensify pace of implementation of Beti Bachao Abhiyan, he urged Shaurya Dals to play significant role in prevention of violence against women. He urged to ensure that women get identity in even remote villages, the most literate woman in the village should be felicitated. He directed to implement Women and Child Development schemes at field level with proper coordination.
Commissioner Women's Empowerment Smt. Jaishri Kiyawat said that wide publicity should be undertaken regarding remarkable works done by Shaurya Dals within a short span of time. She described 'Usha Kiran Yojana' as important for suffering women. She said that through it, all facilities will be provided to suffering women at one place so that they need not wander for justice here and there.
At the workshop, officers gave suggestions regarding Shaurya Dal's training module.
