With the arrival of new technologies, the pattern of crimes in modern society has also changed with criminals inflicting damage to the people by misusing new technologies, the minister said adding that under the prevailing circumstances, police training has assumed significance as people want prompt actions from them against crimes.

Talking about issues plaguing police force, Gaur said  given limited resources at their disposal, police jawans, personnel  are under tremendous work pressure. They not only have to maintain protocol but also have to take care of people’s security, face pressure of action against criminals and have to ensure that there is no quarrel  and tension between the two groups, communities,. Amid all these things, they also need to take care of their health and families and this is possible only when they have proper training to face these challenges, the minister said.

He said the ongoing training programme which is first of its type in the State, will help develop leadership abilities among police officials. This in turn will help them inspire their subordinates to work with a proper balance which will help them perform in a better way.
