A special campaign is being run by the Urban Traffic Police, Bhopal from April 30, 2022 against the vehicles fitted with modified silencers and the drivers driving under the influence of alcohol.
In this campaign, so far, a total of 139 cases are being presented in the court by taking action under Motor Vehicle Act against 86 vehicles fitted with modified silencers and 53 drunken drivers. In 89 cases presented so far, a minimum of Rs 6000 has been paid on the silencer modified by the court. And for driving under the influence of alcohol, a minimum of Rs. 10,000. fines have been imposed. Thus a total fine of 7,34000 under Motor Vehicle Act has been imposed by the court.
Meanwhile summons are being issued through National Lok Adalat for non-deposit of amount by the violators in the e-challans generated by ITMS and City Surveillance by the Urban Traffic Police and Rs 1,58,000 were collected for 621 challans of 88 persons in the National Lok Adalat held on March 12. The summons fee was deposited.
In this sequence, notices have been issued to 3000 persons for depositing the amount of e-challans for the National Lok Adalat held on May 14, 2022. It is mandatory to deposit the summon fee of the said challan on Lok Adalat otherwise, further legal action will be taken.
In this regard, the violators can inform the police station traffic in this regard by depositing the online summon fee on the website till date May 12, 2022.
