The police failed to provide smooth flow of traffic in different routes of the city as had been promised earlier. The traffic routes were diverted for providing smooth passage of PM Narendra Modi motorcade cavalcade but which slowly and gradually turned into blockades at several places across the city and remained for several hours. Nothing new was witnessed as long queues of vehicles were observed at the Barkhedi, Jehangirabad, Chiklod road, lily talkies square, Royal market, Subash Nagar railway crossing area. Diversions which were made to maintain the traffic management failed to keep the commuters satisfied as the diversions were witnessed blockages and were later clogged completely making the traffic to a standstill. Traffic was diverted from Jehangirabad to Roshanpura and the diverted routes were filled with vehicles due to narrow lanes at several places.
