A special social awareness drive was organised here on Wednesday at Patel Group of Institutions.
Notably, here on Wednesday the students of all branches along with the faculty members carried out a social awareness drive under which they gave out a message to follow the traffic rules properly and drive safe.
The students along with the faculty members carried out a march informing the two wheeler riders to put on helmet while riding the bike or scooty. Through the awareness drive the participant students also explained the masses about the importance of following the traffic rules and most importantly wearing a helmet on while riding the two wheelers. While addressing the students and faculty members, the Director of Patel Group of Institutions Gyanendra Singh said, “These days the number of rash drivers is increasing and it is important for all of us to keep ourselves safe. For this we should follow few precautions and the traffic rules. Driving or riding safe is in our hands. Most of the college or school going youngsters rides the two wheelers and so wearing a helmet while riding a two wheeler is a must.”
Elaborating further, he said that all the youngsters should be careful while riding on the busy roads of the city and follow the traffic rules to avoid dangerous accidents.
later, a pledge taking ceremony was held under which the students and the faculty members of the college took a pledge to wear a helmet while riding the bike and would also encourage others to do so.
