Traditional Games day organised at summer camp

The special month-long summer camp organised for the underprivileged children is being much enjoyed. Here on Sunday the children enjoyed the ‘Traditional Games day’, in which they played many regional games like kabbadi, pitthu, kho-kho and many more.

The fun day started-off with the tiny-tots singing and running merrily on the tune of poshampa. Gradually all the volunteers also joined in and were once again getting in touch with the kids they were once themselves.

The game followed was kho kho. After that they played a number of games like pitthu and pakdam pakdai. But the limelight was stolen by the match of kabbadi between boys and girls. Everybody was rejuvenated after all these games. Undoubtedly, the children cherished these little games played.

The session ended with dance and song performances by little children who were very happy showcasing their talents to us. Even the volunteers also put up some performances for them. But the party was not over yet. After that we headed towards the swings and had a fun time on ‘fisalpatti’ and jhoola. All in all, it was a lot of fun at the camp on Sunday.

Also the children along with playing games learnt new things at the camp and took the pleasure of the day.
