Even in Gwalior, the response to the bandh called by the Congress was mixed. The Congress workers were seen requesting the shopkeepers to shut their shops. The educational institutions remained totally closed and the public transport did not ply on the roads.
The Congress activists who moved on the roads urging people to support the bandh were led by Ashok Sharma, Prem Singh Kushwah, Rajkumar Sharma, Shyam Singh Chouhan, etc.
The district congress committee also organized a condolence meeting for 51 people who died on account of Vyapam scam. The collector Sanjay Goyal and SP Hari Narain Chari Mishra took round of the city full time. The ADM and SDM and jawans paid their attention to maintain of law and order.
