A two-year-old baby girl died after having fallen from an under construction building at Ruchi life Estate at Jatkhedi under Misrod police station area on Saturday.
Investigating Officer ASI Jadon said that the parents of the victim used to work as labours at the Ruchi life Estates and on Saturday morning when they were busy with their work the victim Rakhi, while playing, fell accidentally from the second floor of the building. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she died later during treatment.
The family hails from Dindori district and came to the city few months back in search of job and started working at the construction site as labours. The police were investigating whether the death was caused due to negligence or it was purely an accidental, told the police.
A case under Section 174 of the CrPC has been registered and further investigation is on.Meanwhile, a 28-year-old man committed suicide by hanging from a ceiling at Neelbad under Ratibad police station area on Friday after his family allegedly refused to provide money for his liquor.
According to the police, on Friday the deceased Jaydeep Mangore, a habitual drinker and unemployed, had an argument with the family members and allegedly committed suicide after the incident.
