Buoyed with the support of noted social worker Anna Hazare, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) has decided to expand its party base in Madhya Pradesh in the upcoming lok Sabha elections.
The party has decided to field candidates in the general elections in the State. The TMC has initiated its political activities in the State. Having opened party’s office in the State capital, the TMC has also formed State election campaign committee that is meeting in Bhopal on Saturday morning.
Soon after the meeting, the committee members would talk to mediapersons declaring their political strategy in Madhya Pradesh.
Party sources said that the TMC has already launched a hunt in the State for honest and able candidates to be fielded in the lok Sabha polls. However, the party is yet to decide as on how many seats it would contest in Madhya Pradesh.
