To enhance the creativity of a child through innovation, Tinkering lab is being established in Bhopal city. The Tinkering lab, also known as T-lab, is a new way of learning and development for young minds.
T-lab organised a month long workshop for young minds this month and this workshop was attended by around 30 students from various schools and colleges.
Tinkering lab, the first of its kind has been set up in city by Pramod Maithil. It is an innovative educational system that works to enhance the creativity of the child and promotes experiential learning.
Pramod Maithil said that it is a part of Prakriti Initiatives whose main aim is to create a natural learning environment for the children, so that children find the liberty to develop at their own pace and learn through curiosity driven experimentation.
“In the lab, everyday children learn new scientific theories, which are then combined with their creativity and the skill of modelling and assembling, to make some amazing product. The children also learn to sell the product they made, and pitch it to other children, who in turn counter-question the product. Thus an all round development is being implemented through these T-labs, by simulating a virtual environment for real world like invention and trade,” he added.
The children have made solar cookers, generated electricity using lemon, made a motor boat, generator, an automated robot hand, a cardboard crane and various other implementations.
“T-lab intends to lend hands to various schools and organisation and revolutionize the future of education in India,” he said. Pramod has also given a TEDx Talk on ‘The Science of Natural learning’ and is trying hard to improve the quality of education throughout the country.
