Keeping in view security reasons, the Panna Tiger Reserve Management has relocated tigress born in December 2013 from lioness P-213 to Satpura Tiger Reserve.
lioness Panna-213(23) was living with her mother since her birth. She was roaming to establish her separate territory around buffer zone villages Koni, Bilhara, Gahdra and other villages near Panna Core hinterland , which was not secure for lioness, domestic animals and humans.
There is no dense forest in the buffer zone. Continuous vigil on lioness was getting difficult due to villages all around.
Hence, decision to relocate the lioness has been taken by the forest department.
