The three-day value based interactive workshop organized by Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar, concluded on Friday.
The workshop was for its teachers at its Rohit Nagar Campus. The interactive workshop was organized in association with Sri Satya Sai Education in Human Values System (SSSEHV).
“A continuous striving towards perfection is called Excellence. An ideal teacher is one who aligns his/her personal and professional goals in synchronization with the organizational goals.” said BG Pitre in his inaugural session addressing the workshop on Six Common Minimum Programme on Human Values.
Experts from various fields addressed the workshop which included national advisor for Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar Schools, BG Pitre; Director, Institute of Satya Sai Education India, M Paranjape; Director, SSSVV GAIl Vijaypur, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Hari Ranjan Rao, Nupur Rao, Professor SIRT Tribhuvan Sachdeva, Honorary Secretary, Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, Usha K Nair, Professor of Chemistry, Govt. PG College, Sehore, Manoj Kothekar, Principal, Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, GAIl and Anita Awasthy, Assistant Professor, Satya Sai College, Bhopal. The workshop enlightened over 150 teachers of Sagar Public School, Saket Nagar, Gandhi Nagar and Rohit Nagar. The first day of workshop witnessed Introduction - Role & Relevance of SSSEHV and targeting Excellence in School – Academic, Human and Environment with BG Pitre, Tribhuvan Sachdeva and Hari Ranjan Rao as key speakers. They informed about the five cardinals of Human Values namely Satya, Dharma, Prema, Ahimsa and Shanti. An emphasis to strengthen human values amongst children was made by need for silent sitting and guided visualization and listening. Session on Experiential learning by Usha K Nair highlighted the differentiation between education and educare. She explained the two phases of experiential learning namely through classroom dynamics and school activities. Tribhuvan Sachdeva guided everyone on the paths to achieve these five cardinal values. He emphasized the importance and love for 3 Ms of life - Mother, Motherland and Mother Tongue.
