A three-day Baiga Olympic was organised at Madhya Pradesh’s Balaghat District in Behar in which 800 Baigas from 14 districts of two states participated.
For the first time adventures sports were conducted for this ethnic group. This was an attempt by the nation to provide a special platform to the Baiga tribe. This is one of the most neglected tribe that needs to be connected to the main stream through these games.
The courage required in these games will encourage them to find jobs. The Principal Secretary of the Schedule Tribe Development Department BR Naidu was present during the programme and he also tried his hands on archery.
