Govindpura police have booked a youth and three of his friends including a girl for provoking him to sexually assault and exploit a minor girl.
The victim a class 10 student living in Govindpura police station area of the State capital befriended the accused who is also a minor on Instagram. After a few days accused boy came home to meet after they developed friendship and on the night of September12 the boy reached the victim's house along with three of his friends two of which were minor boys while third was a girl who was acquainted with both victim and accused.
At home, he lured and raped the victim girl. During this time, the three companions of the accused kept monitoring. Besides, the friends also kept instigating the accused to commit atrocities against the girl. The matter was reported to the police on Friday. The police have registered a case of rape and started investigation.
According to TI Awadhesh Singh Tomar, the 14-year-old girl lives in Govindpura area and is studying in class 10th. His parents have been divorced. For this reason she lives with her mother. Recently the girl met a teenager on Instagram. The girl used to use Instagram from her mother's mobile.
During chatting, it was revealed that the teenager lives in the same neighborhood as the student. After this he started visiting the girl's house. Meanwhile, three of his friends instigated him to commit obscenity with the student. Friends said that nowadays everything is acceptable.
On the night of September 12, the teenager reached the student's house. At this time her mother had gone to the hospital for night duty. Kishore raped the student after luring her. The teenager's two friends, including a girl who was a common friend of both accused and victim further instigated him due to which he made physical relations with the victim twice.
Later when the accused started to pressurise her to have physical relationship, the student reported the matter to the police. Police have registered a case against the teenager under sections of rape and POCSO Act.
The three friends have also been accused. The station in-charge says that at present no one has been arrested.
