Now people will not have to travel to Kerala for Panchakarma. In Bhopal, therapists from Kerala will perform Panchakarma in a 5 star hotel facility opened in Government Panchakarma and Wellness Centre near Kaliasot Dam.
Country's first Government Panchakarma and Wellness Center will be inaugurated by CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan on December 6.
Panchakarma is a method of Ayurvedic treatment. Panchakarma means combination of five different therapies. This process is done to get rid of toxins released by diseases and malnutrition in the body.
Principal of Pandit Khushilal Sharma Ayurvedic College, Dr. Umesh Shukla told that this center has been completed in two and a half years at a cost of Rs 10 crore. Right now a 150-bed Panchakarma unit is being operated in the Ayurvedic College.
About 200 patients get Panchakarma done daily. Keeping in view the increasing interest of the people towards Panchakarma and the increasing number of patients, a hi-tech unit has been set up. At present there is a waiting period of one and a half months in the Panchakarma unit. This is probably the first Panchakarma and Wellness Unit in the country, which has been set up in a government institution.
Therapists from Kerala will do Panchakarma at the Panchakarma and Wellness Center built in the Khushilal Ayurvedic College premises. The college management has appointed a therapist from Kerala for this centre. In the coming days, the staff strength of Kerala will be further increased. With this, people will get facilities like Kerala in Bhopal.
The Panchakarma & Wellness Center has a total of 50 beds. In these, semi private ward, deluxe room and super deluxe room like 5 star hotels have been made. Along with single and double beds in the deluxe room, there will also be arrangement for the attendant to stay.
