A theatre workshop will be organised for the youngsters aspiring to enter the world of theatre. The workshop will begin here on November 5 and will be organised by a well-known theatre group of the city, Trikarshi Theatre Group. The workshop will continue till November 30.
During the nearly month-long theatre workshop, theatre personalities from National School of Drama (NSD), New Delhi will train the students. Trainers like Sonali Bharadwaj, Ravendra Khushwaha, Dhirendra and founder director of Trikarshi Theatre Group, KG Trivedi will train the aspirants. The theatre workshop will be held at Tulsi Nagar from 4 to 8 pm.
Students will be taught the basic acting exercises to strengthen their acting foundation. This training programme would further train the students to free them from self consciousness and strengthen their concentration through sensory exercises. Students will be given assignments to apply in their theatrical personality and performances.
How to use the props and properties, speech therapy, improvisation of stories, body movements, facial expression with dialogue, and footwork on music along with other experimental exercises will be taught to them by the theater personalities. The workshop primarily will focus on acting techniques, body language, observational skill, voice modulation, diction and speech.
This will provide a unique knowledge practice based techniques, which is very important to acquire in this career. All kind of genres like tragedy, comedy, drama and horror would be taught.
