Specialist medical doctors have seen the heart beating out of the body for the first time. Four days ago, Arvind Patel’s wife Prem Kumari has given birth to baby girl having heart outside the chest which has shocked everyone.
Gwalior Medical College three specialist doctors have kept the baby girl under their care but she was referred to Delhi as the facility of operation is not possible in Gwalior. This baby girl was accompanied by her uncle. On the other side cardiac surgeon is not available in Gwalior to handle this critical case, so the Gwalior Medical doctors have referred the baby girl to Delhi AIMS.
At initial stage Chhatarpur doctors have seen such type of case for the first time and referred it to Gwalior JA hospital. Omprakash Uncle of infant has brought the baby girl to the Gwalior Kamla Raja hospital and she was admitted in KRH SNSU. Doctors have examined the baby girl and done the entire needed test.Tikamgarh Collector had talked to Gwalior Collector Sanjay Goyal on phone about the baby girl and after their discussion Collector Sanjay Goyal had made the arrangements to provide the transportation through Red-Cross Society ambulance to the baby girl so that she can go to Delhi for further treatment. In Special Neonatal Care Unit three specialists doctors have taken care of baby girl and out of three doctors one is Paediatrician, Paediatrics Surgeon and Cardiologists were there.
According to doctors, this is rare case which happens out of more than 10 lakh of cases. Cardiologist Dr Puneet Rastogi has said that this disease is called Actopia Cardiac.
He has also shared the information about Actopia that it happens as sternum (Bone enveloped the heart) not formed and Cardiac surgeon has to move the heart inside through operation and artificial sternum should be made to keep the heart inside. Out of 10 lakh heart patients Actopia disease found in one case and it is very rare.
