How to differentiate between the poem and story writing was taught during the 10 day long theatre workshop. The theatre workshop was all about the story telling and poetry in theatres that concluded on Monday at Kalibadi.

The participants read the stories by Nirmal Verma and tried to understand the depth of the grammar used in his stories. The participants were given tasks as well to let them understand the process of writing a story and telling it to the audience in an impactful manner.

Through acting process and group discussions, the participants were made aware of the grammar while writing a story. Tanaji Rao of RiSAC (Rising Society for Art and Culture) said that the participants were made aware about the difference between writing styles of story and poem. They were told that different grammar facts are used in both the genres. The participants were told that a story has a certain format, but poetry is not. It can be lyrical and absurd at sometimes, he added. To make this clear, participants were told about the Indian and western literature as well.

The theatre is a huge platform of expressions, so the aspirants are also being informed about the verbal and non verbal theatre as well. This training programme would further train the students to free them from self consciousness and strengthen their concentration through sensory exercises. The participants are given assignments to apply in their theatrical personality and performances.
