Teji Grover says, “As a poet who always had very close friends among painters, it’s perhaps worthwhile for me to dwell on my irrepressible lifelong desire to be able to paint.”

Elaborating more about her inclination towards art, she says, “I had watched some of my painter friends painting in their studios. I began to see how, by scratching a color with a tool, light suddenly flooded some space on the canvas. As he continued to use several techniques and strategies far removed from the brushstrokes we commonly associate painting with, rectangles began to dance, filled with the morning or evening light playing on water. My heart began to beat violently.”

As she is a great poetess, she knows very well to thread the imagery in strings of fine words. She has also done the paintings with the same passion and curiosity.

The art lovers of the city would be able to have a close look at the colours through the eyes of the poet. Moreover, the spectators would be treated with the fine colours having the beauty and calmness of nature with the blend of artistic strokes over canvas.
