A 19-year-old girl was kidnapped, held captive, brutally beaten and sexually assaulted by two miscreants at Jehangirabad. A case of rape has been registered at the Talaiya police station on Friday.
According to the police at around 11 pm on November 7, the victim had gone to the Chinese corner of her area and she found that the shop was closed and when she was on her way back to home she was obstructed by the accused Shabez and Altaf Khan who initially asked her for her mobile phone number but her denial angered them and they took her to Altaf’s residence in Jehangirabad.
They took turns to rape her and assaulted her physically. On the next day at around 5 am they abandoned her near MlB College. The terrorised victim could not muster courage to report the incident to the parents or police and she went to Upper lake with the intention of suicide but was spotted by her uncle who was searching the victim for the whole night.
The victim was frightened and was not ready to provide the details of the horror which she suffered. On Friday, she told the family about the incident and the police were informed about the crime.
The police have registered a case under section 366, 376D and 342 of the IPC and have started the further investigation. The two accused were nabbed later. Shabez is a resident of Budhwara while Altaf Khan is a resident of Jehangirabad who’s house was used to commit crime.
