In an unfortunate incident, a school girl committed suicide at on Kanadia road here on Friday afternoon. The cause behind incident was not known till filing this report. The incident occurred at Vidyadham hostel under Kanadia police station.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as Kritika (17), daughter of Sanjay Mogre, a native of Anjad in Barwani district. According to hostel warden, Kritika who was studying in Pragya School in standard 12, had gone to her school on Friday morning. She had returned to her hostel sometime before the incident took place.Police said that Kritika after coming from her school on Friday. Soon after she returned to her hostel, she went to study room of the hostel along with a pen and a copy.After sometime, when the hostel sweeper Babita went towards the study room for cleaning purposes, she found the room locked from inside. She knocked door of the room repeatedly but neither had she got any response, nor was the door of the study room opened. Growing suspicious, the hostel sweeper craned inside the study room through the window pan and to her utter dismay, she found Kritika's body hanging from ceiling fan of the room. She immediately called up the hostel guard and the warden and informed them about the matter. Taken aback by the incident, the hostel warden Monica Joshi informed about the incident to the police. Hostel warden said that Kritika was quite normal on Friday morning.
