The teachers under the banner of Madhya Pradesh Government Aupcharikettar Shiksha Sangh on Saturday demanded that those instructors and invigilator, who took part in the Guruji Eligibility Test 2008 and 2009, should be appointed alike the contractual school teachers (category 3).

Talking to the mediapersons here on Saturday, Sangh’s State president Ramesh Dwivedi stated that invigilators had been appointed on the basis of their qualifications by the director of public instructions in the year 1974 in Madhya Pradesh.

However, the Government had suspended the services of instructors and invigilators of the scheme instead of changing the scheme in the year 2000. The Sangh had filed the petition in the high court, Jabalpur.

The court had given the verdict in the favour of the Sangh that the instructors and invigilators of the scheme should be treated alike the government teachers.

Dwivedi further stated that the state government had conducted a guruji eligibility test in the year 2008 through Vyapam. As many as 16 questions of this exam were found out of the syllabus, Vyapam and the government also accepted this and appointed all the gurujis as the contractual teachers (category 3). But the government declared all the instructors and invigilators ineligible.

Dwivedi said that the High Court has on January 11, 2017 stated that instructors and invigilators of the Aupcharikettar Shiksha scheme should be appointed as contractual teachers (category 3) and has summoned the school education department’s principal secretary in the court on January 30.

Dwivedi further added that state government is going to start the process for the recruitment of the guest teachers. The Sangh would go to the High Court regarding this on Monday.
