Based on the theme of cleanest city of the country, to identify and felicitate cleanest ward of city, Swachh Ward -2017 campaign was inaugurated by MlA and Mayor Malini Singh Gaud at Brilliant Convention Center on Monday.
Under the Swach Bharat Mission-2017 Indore was awarded the cleanest city of the country among 423 cities and replicating the same best ward among the 85 wards of the cities would be awarded. Gaud said that the preparations would be started from August and September, survey would be conducted from November to December and resulted would be declared by December. The ward which would claim first position would be provided with an additional development works of Rs 1 crore apart from the allocated budget. The second and third would be provided with Rs 75 lakh and Rs 50 lakh respectively.
On the occasion, Mayor administered oath to the participants of keeping wet and dry garbage separately and providing them in the same manner to the garbage collecting vehicles.
