A survey to estimate the loss during the heavy rainfall has been started in Bhopal. Collector Nishant Varvade has constituted 40 teams to survey the loss of property and lives in the district and duly fill the determined form. He has directed the officials concerned to submit the report in three days.

The survey team will visit their allotted region or ward and collect the information in detail in the prescribed form and submit it in three days. In the panchnama the signature of the ward corporator will be ensured. In one panchnama the signature of the head of the 50 affected families will be taken along with a filled form.

Varvade said that for the complaints and information regarding the survey the in-charge officer is ADM Ratnakar Jha and any one can contact him.

Meanwhile, for the flood affected people 14 temporary camps have been constituted. The people stuck in heavy rains were moved to these temporary camps and provided food and water.

Varvade said that the camps have been permitted to be held for one week. This arrangement is as per the RVC 6-4 provision. For better arrangements each camp has a separate in charge officer.

Besides, food grains and essentials will be made available to the flood victims. The administration is conducting a survey on affected families. The food coupons will be distributed by the SDM of the concerned area.  On the basis of the coupons wheat, rice and kerosene will be distributed from the fair price shops.

Varvade said that each affected family will get 50 kilogram of wheat and rice and five litres of kerosene. This is given as per the RCV 6-4 provision. All the SDMs have been given directions regarding this distribution of food grains and kerosene.

Varvade here on Sunday visited the Flood Management cell of the BMC and spoke to the people who called in for help and asked them how the response from the BMC control room wasIJ

He further said that whomever he contacted gave a positive reply to his question and added that they were satisfied with the response from the BMC. One person reported a tree fall and when Varvade contacted that person, he was told that the issue had been taken care. He also collected information from the employees and officers working in the flood management cell.

He further said that he will continue to monitor the arrangements to deal with flood and heavy rainfall.
