But my character Surma Bhopali is different from the one that was featured in sholay.”
“I am also a Bhopali and even I enjoy speaking with this dialect,” Matin added.
While speaking about the aim behind creating the character, he says, “Being an artist I have few responsibilities towards the society. So I had this innovative idea to create a character who can speak about the various activities taking place in the society whether good or bad, fun or no fun. I thought that when character like Ben 10 and Barbie can gain much popularity and appreciation then why can’t a character like Surma who is not a fantasy but a local person picked up from the same crowd to update them in their dialect. This is undoubtedly different and also fun,” he added.
